world food photography awards

A Selection of Category Winners
The World Food Photography Awards, the leading global celebration of food photography, was founded in 2011 by Caroline Kenyon with a small team and was previously known as Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year. Since then, they have received over 100,000 entries from almost 100 countries and the team is dedicated to the promotion of this important art form.
Renamed this year to reflect their reach, gravitas and prestige, the Awards are open to professional and amateur photographers alike. They shine a light on food stories from around the globe through the world’s very best food photography.
The idea for the Awards arose from a wish to see this vibrant sector of photography given the recognition it deserves and, with over 25 categories, their aim is to make the importance of food photography in all its settings stand out, by celebrating this talent, skill and creativity.
You will see families eating together in celebration of religious festivals to food styled for magazines, images of the realities of food production to food growing in its natural setting.
‘‘Our goal is to bring global food narratives to life: whether the beauty or the drama of food, feast or famine, weddings or food aid. Food is the great leveller, the great unifier and photography captures this so powerfully,” says Awards Founder, Caroline Kenyon
A selection of category winners will be displayed at Photo North Festival.
